Just an idea I came up with during my weekend. I had a lot of fun working on this and I couldn't help put a smile on my face not only because this was a pretty weird idea but I actually have a Pomeranian as a pet, his name is Richy. So I guess I'll call this character Sir Richard the Pom Knight lol
now just thinking about it this could make a good idea for a videogame lol I guess I'll make this the concept design for it
Let me begin by saying that this is a wonderful work of art that is VERY cute and original. I mean, come on! How often do you see Pomeranian Knights? This would make a very interesting character. Great theme, original, and a nice palette of light and cooler colors.
I love how this piece looks very 3-dimensional. Very nice texturing and shading. The armor and fur also look very nice, decently detailed. The armor shines as if it were real and the fur looks poofy. It is easy to distinguish between fur, cloth, leather, and steel. A great example of skillfully created digital art. The symbol/watermark in the background is also very clever.
While the piece is nicely done, there are some minor flaws. I hate bringing up these points, but: The shield seems very flat. I dunno if that's a shading problem or drawn at an off angle. The sword is a tiny bit inconsistent and doesn't line up from hilt to blade tip and also seems slightly flimsy.
Excellent job. This would be a great character concept, especially for a video game. I hope my critique has been helpful.
Vision - Didn't know what it meant... but it is well defined and all so I put 5.
Originality - When I saw this I instantly saw starfox in there and in DA you always see that drawing of fox and such.
Technique - It is really nice and all but I would not consider this FULLY professional work.
Impact - When I saw the picture in newest I instantly clicked on it, there was no other choice. Also I really like the concept and you should go foward with your game project if what you said was the real deal.
In the end, I think that hte only big yhing you can see that is'nt that good is how the shield is attatch to the arm.
i dunno why you would want any critique, this is amazing, i have never seen a picture like this before, brilliant work, amazing detail, and overall amazing
thanks I just love hearing what ppl have to say about my art whether it's good or if something is wrong with it. Even the smallest notice of a mistake can help me improve in the future
really? i've played wind waker and I don't remember them looking like that, maybe it's time for me to take the dust off the ol'disc and start playing it again lol...
